THE NEW ME: DARING, BOLD, AUDACIOUS! :]

Kikay. Outgoing. Fun-loving.
These are just some of the adjectives I use to describe myself.
But here's one I never ever used before: ADVENTUROUS.

I love having fun, YES - no doubt about that but I never really am the type to immerse myself in situations wherein there is possible danger (or at least I already consider it scary and dangerous, I'm kind of a scaredy cat, you see!). I never dared, even as a young kid, doing stuffs that would put my life at risk (or so I thought).  In short, I love having fun - but the fun things I did or I consider is being safe and sound at the end of the day.

When I was interviewed by Kagawad Dominador Lagare III for the job position of segment host of the travel and living show titled "Destinations Sites Lahat", I was pretty confident answering all his questions and I know I did well not until he asked me this:
"ADVENTUROUS KA BA?"
I was tongue-tied for a while, tensed with the question until I finally came up with
"No, not really. But I can be."

I was told that my job is not just to host the said program, but also to try all the activities of the destination sites we will feature.  I took it not because of the fact that I will be paid (well actually it's one of the reasons), but I took it mainly because this job will obligate me to do other fun things which I never really thought I would do.

First thing I did was to ride the Zorv. It is an enormous rubber ball wherein you have to get inside, be strapped in and rolled from a hill downwards.  It's not really that scary I know, but the thought of being rolled over up-side down and strapped makes my tummy go crazy.  When we were shooting for the Zorv episode, I was excited to try it, but when the zorv park's staff were strapping me in - I was literally freaking out inside but I have to put on a brave face because if not, I would surely look funny in TV.  The whole ride lasted for 20seconds but at that moment, it felt like the looongest 20 seconds of my life.  I was screaming at the top of my lungs and all my internal organs literally felt like they rumbled inside me.  My brain was literally shaken and I couldn't wait to get out of the ball and breath! I was laughing after I got out and was so proud of myself for trying something like that.
My co-segment host and I after we tried the ZORV!

The zorv wasn't the cherry of everything yet.  Nor the next thing we did.

After the zorv day, we went to Deca Wakeboard Park to try wakeboarding. Imagine my little frame wakeboarding ... can you imagine it? If you can well good for you because never in my whole life have I thought of doing wakeboarding!  But I did, and I'm quiet proud of myself again for that.  While I was looking at the wakeboarders doing their thing, it looked so easy and simple.  I thought, I can do that with no sweat at all.  What could be harder than being pulled and trying to stay on top of the board?
The thing is that, I was not told how exhausting it could be and how it could potentially tear my arms up.  You see, at Deca wakeboard park, you don't get to see the typical boat pulling a wakeboarder but rather, a cable with a constant force for pull.  I tried it once and my arms were sore for more than a week.  :D It was truly a fun experience for me and something I regard as an adventure.

Certainly and definitely, I will try it again next time. :) I am glad to have taken the job because if I did not, I don't think I will ever try the things I did and the things I will have to experience in the future.

Zorv, wakeboarding, next in line: WILD WATER RAFTING :D
